Few get the experience the wide variety of my career. Below please find the companies, industries, locations I been involved with. The constant is my teams have always been successful. Some I managed while others I was a contributor but they met goals and made an impact.
Three core skills have formed the foundation for my contribution to the teams, departments, and companies I have worked with.
- Process Skills - I see processes differently. I see the components of the process easily and can identify the critical activities inside the overall process. That has led to improved processes or creating applications to make users more productive.
- Customer Facing Skills - Customers can be internal or external. While the customer is not always right, they are always the customer. It takes experience, vision, goal alignment and communication skills to succeed in the customer arena. Success is about alignment, foresight, and a profitable relationship, and not saying yes to every request.
- Change Management - I have spent a career adjusting to change and helping my teams and coworkers adjust to change. Of my career experiences, few give me more satisfaction than teaching an associate to not only accept change but to leverage change to make them a more successful teammate.
